So originally this was going to be a bit of a January favourites type of post but since it's taken me so long to do I've decided to change it to products I'm loving right now. Some are newbies and some are things I've been using for a while.
I have been using some variety of the Bastiste Dry Shampoos for years. I have quite dry hair so I try an minimise how often I wash it as washing too frequently strips it of all it's natural oils. I always keep a can of this dry shampoo on hand as it can extend the life of my hair by a day or two when I just spray it onto my oily roots and throw it up into a pony tail or bun. I'm also a big fan of heading to the gym early in the morning before I go to work and this means I can skip trying to manage the whole wash/blowdry/straighten in the crowded gym changerooms after my workouts - a lifesaver!
Escada Marine Groove
I adore Escada scents and I love their limited edition fragrances they bring out every year. They tend to all be quite fruity which I love andf although they do vary, they're always along the same lines and I don't think there's been one I haven't liked. The only problem with these is because they are only ever limited edition if you fall in love with one it's never around for more than a year or two so you need to stockpile!
OPI in Charged Up Cherry
I actually first came across this polish when my mum had it painted on her nails when she was at a salon getting a manicure. She was a bit concerned that it was a bit bright for her but I fell in love and had to get it for myself! It's been one of my favourite colours to paint my nails ever since and I love the way it can brighten up my day!
Clinique Chubby Stick in Strawberry
I was a bit slow to get on the Chubby Stick bandwagon but I'm a big fan of these now. I strated off by getting a set of a few in sample sizes (about half the usual size) from ebay and I will definately go back and get more full size when these run out. They're great for a little bit of colour on the go and they really are very moisturising and long lasting for a lip balm.
Revlon Colourburst Lipstick in Soft Nude
I really love the creamy formulation of the Revlon Colourburst Lipsticks and this is easily the best colour I have found for everyday wear. It applies really nicely (even without a liner as I am often too lazy to bother with this) and last quite well. I have found it a bit tricky to pind the perfect nude lipstick that doesn't look to matte or washes me out so this will be a item I will repurchase for many years to come.
MAC Mineralize Blush in Dainty
I picked this up from Strawberrynet after seeing quite a few reviews on Youtube. I really like the way it is a subtle pink shade and looks very pretty and girly. It does have quite a bit of shimmer so may not be for everyone but I tend to skip any other shimmery products (bronzer, highlighter) and make this the focal point of my look.
MAC Mineralise Skin Finish in Soft n Gentle
This is a fairly new addition to my collection but I'm not sure now how I ever lived without it! It's such a beautiful and flattering highlighter and I like to run a little of this over my cheekbones and down the bridge of my nose as one of the last steps in doing my makeup. It's also great for a quick touch up during the day if my makeup starts looking a bit flat or to stop myself looking tired.
What are some of the products you are loving at the moment? I'm always looking for new things to try! :-)
Hope you are all having a beautiful day!
I'm loving my daisy by marc jacobs - so gorgeously feminine!
