For those of you not familiar with monthly "empties" or "what's in my bin" posts it's a great way to shars some products I've been using and my thoughts on them. So without further ado, here's my the products I finished up in the month of December.
Nivea Irresistably Smooth Body Lotion
I have been on a mission to mositurise every single day when I hop out of the shower. It's such an obvious thing to do but I often skip it due to being in a rush and I have noticed my legs especially are getting really dry. I used to use the Nivea Nourishing Body Lotion (the blue bottle) religiously and I bought this thinking it was a better size for my gym bag. The formula is nice and it absorbs well but I just don't find it quite strong enough for my really dry areas.
Palmers Cocoa Butter SPF 15 Body Butter
I love using this in summer months. It's much easlier absorbed than many sunscreens and has a moisturising effect too. I tend to tan pretty easily and raraly burn so this is often what I use for sunscreen while lying by the pool or spending a day at the beach. it does need reapplying every few hours and if I go in the water but at the end of the day my skin feels protected and moisturised!
Cussons Pure Effects Cherry Blossom and Vanilla Body Wash
Another purchase for my gym bag. This has a lovely scent and a little goes a long way. I bought this as I thought my usual shower wash (LUX Tahitian escape) would be a bit big to cart around to the gym. However I still prefer the scent of Tahitian Escape and love the light exfoliating beads in it so will buy that instead of the Cussons next time.
Scruples Hair Therapy Polish
This was purchased months ago from my hairdressers and they don't stock it any more which I'm a bit sad about. I'll have to look into where I can get it again but I loved this as my shine serum. Applied to towel dry hair it helped to tame my frizzy hair and worked just as well as a tiny amount rubbed onto dry hair. The best part about this over other similar products I have was that it seemed to make my hair a bit smoother and less damaged with every use.
Clinique Take the Day Off Makeup Remover
I love this stuff! A bit on the expensive side when you consider there are many cheaper products available but I love the way this removes all of my eye makeup quickly and easily without the need for rubbing. I have very sensitive eyes also so this does not irritate them in the slightest.
Coles Make-up Removal Pads
Such a bargain these are that I can't go past them. I tend to go through quite a few of these little babies with removing makeup, toning and nail polish remover that it seems such a waste to buy more expensive make up removal pads. I have tried the ones from Woolworths also but they came apart easily and left ugly bits of cotton wool everywhere that I had to pick off - not nice! There hold together well and at about $1.70 a packet I stock up every time I'm near a Coles.
That's it for December, I hope you're all having a beautiful day!
