I had a friend from work head over to Hawaii over Christmas and New Year and I was so excited to use this as a chance to stock up on some of my favourite products at a much cheaper price than what we pay here in Australia . I will list the Australian and US prices so you can see the difference too.
Products I got:
MAC MSF Natural in Medium Beige (USD$27/AU$47)
I love this powder! I use a light dusting every day to set my foundation and I really like the way it warms up and melts into the skin after a few minutes. It means that it holds my foundation in place all day without looking cakey. If I really want an airbrush finish I can apply a thicker layer to any uneven areas and it does have some coverage of its own. The advantage of this being a mineral powder is it doesn’t clog up my pores or cause breakouts and if I don’t feel like applying foundation I can use it over a tinted moisturiser for a lighter coverage.
MAC MSF in Soft n Gentle (USD$28/AU$27)
I have been on the lookout for a good powder highlighter for a while. I love using a small amount of highlighter on my cheekbones and under my eyebrows to give a dewy finish but I find using a liquid or stick highlighter can tend to drag my foundation around and look a bit patchy. I had sampled this at the MAC counters here and it was gorgeous so it had to be on my list.
This is my very first MAC lipstick ever and I’m so excited! Isn’t that weird, I’ve been obsessed with MAC for years but was never really much of a lipstick wearer (more of a gloss kind of gal) but I can already feel this will be my new obsession. Shy Girl is a cremesheen finish and it just a gorgeous creamy coral nude. I like that it’s not a complete nude and does have a hint of a peachy colour but is subtle enough for every day wear. Hmm, what lipstick to try next…
Clinique Chubby Stick in Whoppin’ Watermelon (USD$15/AUD$35)
I found some samples of these on eBay a while ago so I already have this in Mega Melon and Super Strawberry. I love the way this feels on the lips – moisturising, adds a hint of colour and just the right amount of shine. Using this several times a day leaves my lips feeling lovely and moisturised just like using a lip balm - it’s all the best bits of lip balm, lip gloss and lipstick rolled into one amazing product.
Maybelline Falsies Flared Mascara in Blackest Black (USD$7.50/AU – not available but other Falsies mascaras sell at about $19.25)
For a while I was obsessed with Covergirl Lash Blast but this has replaced it as my Holy Grail mascara. I love how a few coats of this can add glamour to any look. It also stays on all day without flaking or giving me panda eyes and comes off easily with my Clinique Take the Day Off makeup remover.
OPI Excuse Moi! (USD$8.00/AU$19.95 )
This was a extra gift from my friend who shares my obsession with all things OPI! It's a gorgeous pink glitter polish with fine pink glitter and larger silver glitter as well. So far I have only tried this as a top coat over another colour but it is quite dense glitter so I am keen to try a few coats on it's own to built up a really glittery nail.
Hope you are having a beautiful day!
You've got some great goodies there! :) I love the lippie. It is gorgeous.
