January I Love This Box

I was so excited when this arrived as it is the first of the beauty boxes for the new year! I have subscribed to all of the Australian beauty boxes currently on offer with the intention of giving them each a few months trial before narrowing it down to just a few I will continue to subscribe to. I must say, so far I am loving this concept, it's nice to get a surprise in the mail every month and they have been excellent value for money. I think the real test of these however will be in the company's ability to maintain the high calibre of products over a longer period of time. I have to say also, customer service at I Love This Box has been great too. I emailed them regarding a problem with my account and received a friendly response rectifying the problem within a couple of hours, even though it was the weekend.

January's I Love This Box has an Australian theme in honor of Australia Day. I really like the way these boxes have a strong theme each month, makes it a bit more interesting than just being random products.

Revlon Nail Polish in Sheer Blossom

This is a pale pink with a slight shimmer throughout. I was a little disappointed with the color as it is quite sheer (as the name suggests) and I prefer much brighter solid color for my nails. That said I do love the formula and lasting power of Revlon nail enamels and many other beauties seemed to receive much stronger colors so it's luck of the draw I guess.

Revlon Matte Kohl Eyeliner in Rich Mink

A very dark brown color perfect for days when I don't want to use a heavier black eyeliner. As I have blue eyes, black eyeliner can sometimes look a bit too harsh and dramatic for a daytime look so I'm really looking foward to using this some more. It is lovely and smooth and I really like that it comes complete with a smudger for easy use.

Olive Lip Balm in Vanilla
I love vanilla scented products so I was thrilled this was the option I received. This is a lovely clear balm that glides on smoothly and is very moisturizing. It is made up of mostly olive oil and beeswax and while it doesn't smell very strongly of vanilla it does have a sweet vanilla taste.

Linden Leaves Foot Reviver
I could smell this as soon as I opened the box as it is quite a strong sage smell. It says it also contains lemongrass which is a nice change from the more common peppermint scent used for many foot products. While this smells nice, it didn't seem to be very cooling on the feet and the effects were short lived but I will definitely give this more of a try on a warmer day.

I Love This Box Angled Eyeshadow Brush

I have a few eyeshadow brushes but none of them are angled so will definitely be giving this brush a try. It feels nice and dense (probably a bit too thick for eyeliner, more of a shadow brush) and is very soft too.

All in all I was very impressed with this box, looking foward to the rest of the January beauty boxes.
