Priceline Sister Clubhouse Tour

This year as part of the annual 30 Days of Fashion and Beauty Priceline took their beauty workshops on the road in a giant tour bus. I have been to these events for the last few years and they were previously held in a seating area in shopping centres across the country. I found they were a really good opportunity to hear about new makeup trends, see new products in action and get some helpful tips from Australia's leading makeup artists and beauty editors. This year, Priceline have switched it up and are touring around Australia in mobile beauty parlours, set up inside a huge truck, and participants have the chance to get their nails, hair or makeup done as well as (of course) collect their freebie bag. I was interested to see how this would go so on Saturday I hit the shops (events are still held at local shopping centres - only now they're in the car park)!

While the inside of the truck was laid out beautifully (like a pink beauty parlour) there was quite an issue with space and people were constantly bumping into each other and the staff as everyone tried to move around inside. Adding to that, it was a freezing cold, rainy day with a strong wind so those waiting in line outside for their turn were well and truely battered by the rain by the time they got inside! To compensate for this, staff were trying to squish as many people as possible inside and there seemed to be no system for who was next at each beauty station, it was a bit of chaos! I opted to have my nails painted and had me name added to the waiting list, only to have several people pushed through ahead of me and I found I did have to keep an eye on it myself and nag staff to stick to their list - quite frustrating!

It was a nice concept, but I have to say I left feeling quite flustered and frustrated. While the truck is good in theory, I think the event would've worked much more smoothly if it were just held inside the shopping centre and where it wasn't so much at the mercy of horrible weather.

For a gold coin donation to the Priceline Sisterhood, we also were given a goodie bag to take away which I was quite happy with - a nice way of testing out some new products!

Have you been to one of these events near you?

Hope you are having a beautiful day!

    1. There wasn't much of a big deal made about these this year which was a bit disappointing, I just happened to check the 30 Days of Fashion and Beauty website and found them there. Think they go till the end of September so might still be events on?

  2. Oh, what a shame that bad weather spoiled the whole experience. I can just imagine what a nightmare it must've been!

I decided to skip this this year as none of the locations were really very close to me. Sounds like it was a good decision as it's horrible to leave feeling more stressed than when you went in!

    1. Was still a decent goodie bag but the event itslef was a bit of a let down if you'd been to these in previous years. Been having a heap of fun with my freebies though! ;-)

  5. The locations aren't very good this year for the Priceline events, I don't recall there being one at Chadstone. There was on in the CBD, but they chose a time that meant only the unemployed could go too :( My friend went and said that people who came early got the bags for free, while others who were late had to buy them. O.o

    1. Totally agree Anastasia, the times were silly! Apparently they chose when the stores would be the busiest but it really made it hard for anyone who worked 9-5 to get there... We were asked to make a gold coin donation for the goodie bag which I was fine with as it went to the Priceline Sisterhood but can't say I would've "paid" a whole lot for it!
