Hawaii Haul: MAC

Finally I'm showing you all the fun things I picked up while I was away! Right at the top of my list of stores to hit up was MAC. The prices in the US are crazy cheap compared to what we pay in Australia so it was time to stock up!

Studio Fix Fluid in NC25 x3
USD$27 (Australian retail is $49)

I tried swapping from NW25 to NC25 while I was there as I had been noticing my skin was looking a tad orange towards the end of the day when I had been wearing this foundation. I love the coverage and everything else about it so I was happy when switching to the more yellow tone matched my skin perfectly and solved my problem.

Mineralize Skin Finish Natural in Medium Plus
USD$29 (Australian retail is $47)

I love this powder and have no desire to ever change this up from my routine! It works niclye alone for a light coverage and assd an airbrushed look when applied over my Studio Fix Fluid.

Blush in Springsheen
USD$20 (Australian retail is $41)
I got talked into picking up this shade. I went looking for Peachykeen but it was sold out EVERYWHERE! The sales assistant said this was the closest match and while I do like it it tends to be a bit more shimmery than Peachykeen.

Bronzer in Refined Golden
USD $24 (Australian retail is $39)
I still have a while to go before I run out of my current bronzer but I figured it wouldn't hurt to have a backup for down the track.

Blush in Peachykeen
USD$20 (Australian retail is $41)
So with just hours to go on our last day I thought I'd head into MAC one final time to check if they had stock back of this and it had just arrived - grabbed it of course!

Swatches (top to bottom): Springsheen, Refined Golden and Peachykeen.

Eyeshadow in Jest
USD $15 (Australian retail is $33)
Another MAC product I have replace each time it runs out. It's such a flattering peachy nude shimmer that is great when I want a quick bit of colour.

Extra Dimension Eyeshadow in A Natural Flirt
USD$20 (Australian retail is $50)
I'm not sure how easy this is to get in Australia but I found it through the Westfield website. I loved how shimmery this was so will be keeping my eye out for more shades in this formulation.

Eye Kohl in Teddy
USD$15 (Australian retail is $32)
I love my Smoulder eye kohl but because I have blue eyes it can sometimes look a bit heavy for using during the day so I thought this brown might be a bit softer.

Swatches (top to bottom): Jest, Teddy and A Natural Flirt.

Viva Glam Lipstick in Nicki
USD$15 (Australian Retail $36)
I wanted this as soon as I saw it released but I couldn't justify paying the Australian retail price for it.

Lipglass in Pink Lemonade
US$15 (Australian Retail $35)
I love a lip gloss with a hint of colour so I can wear it without having to have a lipstick on as well. The lipglass formulation is my favourite from MAC.

Swatches (top to bottom): Viva Glam Nicki and Pink Lemonade
Come to think of it, the only good thing about MAC being more expensive here in Australia is that it means I don't spend all my pay at the MAC counter each week, I'm so sucked in by their products!

Do you have MAC products on your wishlist?

Hope you're having a beautiful day!

  1. I try not to have mac on my wish list, because its embarrassing how expensive it is in Australia! I do have some Illamasqua on my wish list now that they have dropped prices!

    1. Thanks Tiarni! So annoying that we are made to pay so much more here. Even when the dollar is bad it doesn't account for things being 2-3 times the price here! Grr...
