What I took to Hawaii - Carry On

As you may have already worked out, I like to be super organised when I travel and I've now got what I take in my carry on pretty much down pat. I like to have a small supply of my skincare and makeup as I find my skin seems to suffer terribly when I fly (getting dehydrated and breaking out) and being well prepared minimises this. Also, I'm always a bit paranoid about my luggage getting lost. So my logic is if that were ever to happen I would at least have a small number of products with me to get me through a few days - fingers crossed it doesn't happen though!

Here's what I packed:

Clinique Cosmetic Bag
Another of my many GWP bags and the perfect size for taking with me.

Sportsgirl Retractable Brush
I've had this forever but it is such a great brush for applying my mineral powder. The bristles are nice and compact and pick up a lot of product and being able to retract the bristles means my bag doesn't get dirty from leftover powder.

Systane Eye Drops
My skin and eyes get so dry and uncomfortable on flights. I have dry eyes normally but aeroplane air conditioning sucks the moisture out even further so I need to pop these in a few times during the flight.

Palmers Shea Butter
This I took to use as a hand cream as it is super concentrated and feels lovely on the skin.

Kosmea Hydrating Rosewater Mist
This is so nice to spray on your skin for a quick pick up.I'l often use this a few times during the flight.

MAC Mineralise Skin Finish in Medium Plus
When I am applying a full face of makeup I use this as a setting powder but it does have quite good coverage on it's own. I like to add back a bit of light makeup before I get off the plane - I feel a bit less tired and jet lagged if I look 'put together'!

Yes to Cucumbers Soothing Facial Towlettes
This travel pack is perfect as it carries just a few wipes (10 to be exact) and keeps them from drying out. I like to take my makeup off with these once I am settled in for the flight to allow my skin to breathe and I'll use another one just before landing to help keep my skin feel refreshed.

Clinique Superbalm in Raspberry (travel size)
I like to have a bit of tinted gloss to add some colour back into my face when I pop on a bit of makeup at the end of the flight. This is perfect as it is very moisturising but looks glossy and pretty too!

Clinique All About Eyes Serum
The rollerball on this makes it feel so nice and cooling when you apply it, this is amazing on a flight when my skin feels puffy and tired.

Toothbrush and Toothpaste
I'm so fanatical about brushing my teeth near the end of the flight. There's nothing worse than that furry teeth feeling you get after being on a plane for hours and sleeping/eating.

Clinique High Definition Mascara
Another mini - a quick coat of mascara makes me look so much more alive before landing!

Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Dark Circle Concealer
This is the perfect product for on the go as it applies smoothly and gives good coverage without being cakey and heavy. I'll apply this to any areas that need it before using my MSF powder.

Clinique Moisture Surge Tinted Moisturiser
I had never used this before this trip but I was quite impressed. It gave very good coverage for a tinted moisturiser and left my skin feeling hydrated again.

Bourjois Blush in Rose Frisson
Normally I wouldn't use the brush that comes with these blushes but at a pinch it can work OK. For the sake of not having to pack a seperate blush brush into my carry on it does the job and these lovely shimmery blushes make me look more awake (even if I don't feel that way)!

Modelco Headband
I use this to keep my hair of my face while I use my facial wipes and apply my makeup again before landing. As I sometimes do this without heading to the aeroplane bathroom it helps to keep me from ending up a mess with makeup in my hair!

Last post for what I took with me to Hawaii now on to what I brought back! I'm sure that will keep me busy posting for a while!

Do you take makeup or toiletries with you in your carry on when you travel?

Hope you are having a beautiful day!
