David Jones Beauty Bag

Lats Friday I excitedly rushed off in my lunch break to check out the DJs beauty bag. I haven't always picked these up in the past as they haven't contained products I would use but this time around they had a choice of 2 bags and it took me ages to decide on which one! The bag costs $19.95 and to qualify for it you had to purchase any beauty item from the store. I wasn't sure what I needed so I chose this cute little kit from Rimmel that was reduced down to $14.

I wasn't too keen on the cosmetic case but I love Rimmel lipglosses and wanted to try out this blush so it was worth getting the kit.

Included was their Extra Super Lash Curved Brush Mascara in Black, 3 in 1 Powder Blush in Spring Flower, Vinyl Lipgloss in Fashion Icon (I had this confiscated at a music festival last year and have missed it ever since, who makes all the girls throw out their lip gloss as they enter? grr...) and 60 Second Nail Enamel in Lucky Lilac.

I was tossing up between the bag with the Bastiste Dry Shampoo and the Revlon Lipgloss but in the end I thought this was better value so I went for this one. The bag itself is quite a cute tote and I liked the clear toiletries bag it came with too - love being able to see my products easily.

OPI Mini Nail Polish (I'm not sure which colour)
I spent quite a while going through all the bags as they all contained different colours. In the end I decided on this pretty deep plum shade.

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipgloss in Crystal Lilac
There were quite a few bags with nude coloured glosses but it took me a while to find this one - I love a glossy pink lip!

David Jones Renew and Refresh Facial Cleanser and Day Cream
I haven't tried any of the produts from the David Jones range of skincare or cosmetics before. They seem to contain quite a few soothing ingredients so hopefully this will be a good range.

Armarni Code Luna EDT
I quite like these little samples of perfume - great for poping in my handbag to use on the go and see how they smell on me throughout the day.

Boheme Shampoo
Another brand I haven't heard of before so will be good to try out.

Elixia Daily Skin Smoothing Lotion
Anything that promises to help prevent or get rid of wrinkles is worth a try! Not that this is a big issue for me yet (I'm only 27) but I am very keen to use skincare to help prevent premature ageing all the same.

Grown Alchemy Camelia and Geranium Blossom Hydrating Cream
Hopefully this is a nice moisturiser, I've looked at the Grown range in DJs quite a few times but this will be my first chance to try it.

David Jones Cream Foundation in Fair
This would be another great chance to try out the DJs range but I was a bit sad to see all the foundations included in the bags were in the fair shade. It will be way too pale for me I think. It would have been much better if they included a voucher to collect the shade that matched your skintone or something, plus then they could have a consultant match you as well...

Lanolips Golden Ointment
This looks like a good all round cream for the handbag. I often apply a cuticle cream suring the day so will probably get a bit of use from this one.

Did you pick up the David Jones Beauty Bag this time around?

Hope you are having a beautiful day!
